Consignment

Let us find the right buyer

Consignment means we sell your cards on your behalf rather than buying them from you. You keep ownership until a card sells, and you get the benefit of us photographing, describing, pricing and listing it properly. It suits collections worth taking time over — and it takes longer than selling to us outright.

How consignment works

Tell us what you have

Send the card name, set, card number and condition for each item, with clear photos. We'll tell you whether consignment is the right route or whether you'd be better off selling to us outright.

Send your cards in

Once we've agreed what we're taking, we'll confirm how to package and send your cards, and what happens when they arrive.

We photograph, price and list

We shoot each card, describe its condition, price it against the current market and put it in front of buyers.

The terms that matter

Consignment terms are agreed per collection rather than set from a fixed price list, because what we can do depends on what you're sending. Everything below — the commission, what we're able to take, how you're paid, and what happens to anything that doesn't sell — is confirmed with you in writing before you send a single card.

Commission

We agree your commission with you in writing before anything is listed, so you know exactly what you'll receive on a sale. It's set per collection rather than from a fixed price list, because it depends on what you're consigning and what's involved in selling it.

What we take

Tell us what you have and we'll say honestly whether consignment is the right route for it. We're most useful for cards that need a buyer who knows what they're looking at, rather than bulk. What we can take, and any minimum value, is confirmed with you in writing before you send anything.

Pricing and repricing

You'll agree a starting price with us. If a card sits without interest we'll come back to you before changing anything — we won't quietly discount your card.

Getting paid

How and when you're paid after a sale is set out in writing before your cards come to us. We don't quote a payout timescale here because it depends on the deal — but you'll have it in writing in advance, not after the fact.

If a card doesn't sell

Your cards stay yours throughout, and you can ask for them back. What happens to anything that hasn't sold, including who covers return postage, is agreed in writing before you send them — so there's nothing to negotiate later.

Looking after your cards

How your cards are stored, and what cover is in place while they're with us, is set out in your written agreement before you send anything. We won't claim cover we haven't arranged, so you'll see the actual arrangement rather than a reassuring phrase.

Start a consignment enquiry

Tell us roughly what you have — how many cards, which sets or eras, and anything you think stands out. This form doesn't take attachments, so send what you can here and we'll reply so you can share photos. Getting in touch doesn't commit you to anything.

Consignment questions

Should I consign or sell outright?

Selling outright is faster and simpler: we make an offer, you accept or decline, and it's done. Consignment usually suits cards that need the right buyer to come along. Tell us what you have and we'll say honestly which one we think fits — including when we think you'd do better selling to us.

Do I still own my cards?

Yes. Consigned cards remain yours until they sell. Nothing changes hands in ownership terms just because a card is listed.

How long does it take to sell?

There's no fixed answer, and we won't invent one. It depends entirely on the card, the price you've agreed and who's looking at the time. We'll keep you updated rather than leave you guessing.

Can I take my cards back?

Yes. If you want to withdraw a card, tell us and we'll arrange it. Any notice period, and who covers return postage, is agreed in writing before your cards come to us — so you'll know where you stand before anything leaves your hands.

What commission do you charge?

We agree it with you in writing before your cards are listed. There's no fixed price list, because the rate depends on what you're consigning and what's involved in selling it — but you'll always know the figure before anything goes live, never afterwards.
